Spanning multiple cultures, generations, educational backgrounds and areas of medical expertise, our multilingual team delivers care that’s as human as care gets.

Meir Horovitz LNHA

Administrator

Meir is a talented Director who actively sought out his assignment to Bushwick Center. “I want to be in a place where I can know everyone by more than just their names. I want to get to know my residents the way I know my friends.” That was exactly the sort of administrator we were looking for, and we know we found the perfect match. Just ask any resident here, and they’ll tell you that since his very first day, Meir is always around, always stopping to talk with them, always asking how they are and if there’s anything he can do for them. With people like Meir, it’s no wonder Bushwick Center is a Medicare.gov 5-star home.

Veronica Simon MSN, RN

Each and every resident at Bushwick Center is a beneficiary of Veronica’s sincerity and depth of knowledge. Her expertise and unwavering dedication to excellence in care is paramount, and she has a remarkable nursing team, all committed to providing the highest quality care to every resident. “I embrace every opportunity to improve the quality of life of our residents. It’s my passion, and it’s a passion that is shared by everyone on our team”, she says. No wonder Bushwick is consistently rated a five-star facility by Medicare.gov.

Dr. Oluwatosin Emmanuel OTD, OTR/L, LSVT Clinician

Director of Rehabilitation

A native of Nigeria, Oluwatosin obtained her Bachelor of Sciences degree and Masters of Sciences degree in Occupational Therapy with Distinctions from York College (CUNY). She then earned a Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from Chatham University in Pittsburgh.

Elizabeth McLeod LSW

Director of Social Services

Elizabeth is one of the first friends our new residents make when they arrive at Bushwick Center. A graduate of Fordham University, Elizabeth knew at a very young age that she wanted to pursue a meaningful career in Social Work. Shortly thereafter, she found the perfect place to fulfill that dream at Bushwick Center. A qualified social work professional, Elizabeth provides support and counseling to our residents and their families and the world of Bushwick Center always looks brighter behind Elizabeth’s infectious smile.

Knowledge is health.

For the absolute highest quality of care, Bushwick Center staffs medical providers on each unit who stay in constant communication with leadership throughout the day. Team collaboration is our forte, and this commitment helps us maintain an unbeatable continuum of care.

Our team also works hard to keep therapies as consistent as possible, tracking all communications through an advanced electronic medical record system. This ensures immediate transmission of information across the entire care network.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

We are aware of the Governor’s new guidance regarding nursing home visitors. We are as excited as you are to welcome you all back to our facility but need to ensure that we do so safely and in keeping with the guidelines outlined in the Governor’s letter.

It is important to note that per the Governor’s guidelines we will not be permitted to open up to visitors until 5 days from the date of this notice at the earliest. In addition to this timing requirement, the Department of Health must also first approve our individualized reopening plan before allowing visitors.

We will be updating the website with more information as it becomes available. Please click here for the complete New York Sate guidelines.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
